Lmao, they changed the GFX most likely because it can't go head to head with fallout maybe in story, RPG element etc

They changed gfx to change the appeal so it didn't look just like FO3 imo, not necessarily to compete, but to differentiate. Even though, without a doubt, there will be competition & bias etc.

Isn't changing so it doesn't look like F3 kind of like saying they don't want to be head to head competing with F3?

I mean if they kept it realistic, wouldn't that imply they are offering a game with superior story, graphics, gameplay etc?

It's called cel-shading (not shellshading), and it's actually a highly sought after technique in the animation world.
Back after I finished high-school I wanted to do computer animation, and a lot of companies had their own sub section just focused on different styles, including cel-shading.
