Just out of curiosity, isn't it more logical that gold value would *decrease* the more of it there is in circulation? I get the Wrath hype factor and all but there is tons and tons of gold now compared to six months ago, when the ratios were about the same or better (for the gold buyer).

A lot of people who were selling gold and boosting arenas for money got hit with a ban a few days ago, so my guess would be that a lot of gold just got flushed. That’s just a guess though

gold always skyrockets in prepatch, because of huge demand spike, while the real inflation from next expansion has not fully hit yet
people coming back, rerolling, lvling new professions gearing up new mains on gdkps etc etc
was the same close to tbc prepatch, gold prices were peaking

There’s less in circulation due to a recent ban and more demand. Look at the prices on various websites and you’d see increased cost of gold. I know on my server even more so because I play the minority faction not on a mega server so even more volatility.
