How much is it FG wise?

I don’t sell them but it should be around 1500 fg to have it gifted to you

How does it work with gold and all that stuff if I were going to play classic it's been so long

You send FG and recieves a Token ingame that you can redeem afaik.

most of the time you'll send the fg and the person will give you the exact amount to purchase a token from the AH in gold. or maybe a few extra gold to be safe.. i've never had an issue tho.

You’d be better off buying the exact amount of a month in bnet balance instead. A wow token(or the gold to purchase it) requires already having membership. Bnet balance allows you to buy membership on an account that does not currently have it.
