So first time player, I'm enjoying it so far I just have a question about quests and leveling, I'm having a little bit of a trouble soloing as a warlock (sm/ruin) on green quests, is this due to my gear? I feel like I'm not doing enough damage at level 23 just not sure on what increases damage besides int

Get a good wand and let your pet tank, warlock is one if not the best solo leveler.

Idk much about that class. But in any case you want to omly pull/ fight 1 monster at a time.

Attacking with wand really? I've been applying corrupt, agony, immolate and a couple shadow bolts maybe I've been playing it wrong because I was struggling to do southern part barrens



Yeah I've been doing that but I run out of mana before I even kill 1 level 20ish monster, so wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong

Isnt that supposed to be hunter really? Also, mage aoe? What i heard/read as im rly a noob, have only played first 3 month of release, is that lock is 3rd ir 4th best solo lvler.

@op im playing warlock undead as a psuedo first timer aswell. No issues with yellow quests and mobs my lvl or +1.
I level as DoT and voidwalker pet when solo, as reccomended on a icy veins guide (its linked to under warlock links in the d2jsp classic sticky - check those out).
What u do is immolate, the insta cast dot with a shield as tooltip img, then destruction or is it called corruption (has 0sec cast time with talents x 5), and then u wand them down (cost no mana) - use a greater magiv wand made by rnchanters. I did this since lvl 10 and now 21.
U can pull 2 sometimes 3 mobs at a time as u got dots.
At lvl 20 u also get a fire blizzard aoe spell but i havebt used it in solo play yet
With a good wand u can chain mobs, regen mana naturally and i can play like 7-10 mobs before i have to drink mana

Im not sure at what point u need a good wand or just move to use shadow bolt instead (but will have to stop for mana regen more often)

If at ur level u can surely pull 2, even 3, due the mechanics behind dots and having ur void tank as a lock?
If ur skilled (im not) u can also juggle them with dot/fear


Idk works for me all this. And my gear is very, very poor (selffound and enchanted)


Edit: op, make sure u use life tap and cannabalize (if ur a undead) or bandages (tailoring) to sustain mana and life

That must be one of the reasons why I struggle I use my wand 0% of the time, mainly because I'm used to playing diablo and path where its skill/spell orientated. I'll try using my wand and see how that is

Well dont trust me too much as i said my first real time wow since 2004. Check the sticly under warlock
Talent tree matters, and for solo level its 100% dot focused according to all guides ive seen. Wand is just extra dps while dot finosh mob, and u regen mana to move to next target eithiut downtime.
Thatd the point in the guides and it has worked well for me.

Yeah I know but I know for sure it might help my mana problem I'm having trouble adjusting to so many hotkeys and used to how my right click by default is autoing so it's a bit different for me, it took me nearly 6 hours to get 22 to 23 lol thought something was wrong..
