Hey , i am looking into getting some gametime to play classic (zero interest in playing retail) , do i need to have an active retail account to be able to buy tokens from here?

Hello, What you can do is contact live chat and ask them for a free day of membership which they do. Tell them your friend will give you a token so you can get back into World of Warcraft. They will give you a free day then during that day, you purchase as many tokens as you can (That you need) and apply them to either your balance or game time!

if you have enough gold on a character for a token you should be able to log in and buy a sub with the gold you have
