It’s fun but slow, especially if you’re new. Expect of even slower leveling once server release due to waiting for mob respawns and drop timers.

I would still recommend it, all classes are true spec so hybrids don’t do well in any scenario besides maybe buffs for the group

End game content is easy(til 1.15 I think is when aq hits) but still enjoyable

Average first level 60 is 10-20 days played depending on class and spec

Hey Daniel, Ive seen you around West. We have some mutual friends or we did a few years ago when I stopped paying attention to d2.

Classic is a great game and a lot of fun. I would say it's much better to start there than where the game currently is on the "full" version. I would be happy to help and answer any questions you have.

For those that never played WoW,

One of the biggest pains in the ass will be getting players for group quests or instances. You are gonna have to spam trade chat for maybe an hour or so to get group. But if you a tank or healer, this will not be a problem. The game is centered around guilds. You have to be in a good one to have fun in the end game. Which means that you have to depend on other people. But being in a end game guild ideally means that you are dependable, and that you learned your class. In other words, you don’t suck. You can only go so far being a terrible player. If you are bad, the farthest you will probably get is Molten Core. After that being a baddie will catch up to you. You’ll see that in Blackwing Lair.

Regardless, it’s a great game for those that are extrovert. If you like socializing with people online, it’s so much fun. But if you’re introvert like me, having fun is limited.

And the fact that Blizzard changes the abilities of classes is annoying. It’s so funny to see people bitching about nerfs in the forums. It is just an example of how dynamic this game can be. It’s never static for too long.

Yeah... I don’t recommend the game for introverts. I’m not saying introverts cannot be successful.

Nevertheless, all these little annoying things made the game great and better than modern WoW. Because you had to move your brain and put more effort into getting something. It was more challenging. Without that sense of challenge, the reward doesn’t feel rewarding. Kinda like the RMAH from Diablo 3.

My advice to anyone that plans to play WoW Classic is to get really good at your class. Join a really good guild. Don’t trust anyone. Treat it like a business. You don’t owe anyone anything. There are manipulative pieces of shit everywhere. Especially in online gaming. WoW is not an exception.

And yes there are trolls. There are tons of them. Just ignore them and outsmart them These crafty individuals will do everything in their power to fuck you over. Learn fast about loot distribution. There was ways that some troll stole gear from a guild or group. We would say shit like “Ninja’d!”

Vanilla WoW was the most newb friendly mmo back in 2004 . Even if its considered more hardcore than current mmo it still is very new player friendly .
