The popular belief amongst the pvp community atleast is that this game is absolutely awful and people are quitting left and right.

However, I LOVE the game right now. The azerite system // pvp talents are an awesome implement, and I'm having a lot of fun.

Most people verbally hate it, but theres a lot of us having a lot of fun.

the haters / forums are the loudest people, the actual majority are enjoying the game atm. Much better spot than the start of the expansion.

8.2 looks to be even better as well.

The actual majority already stopped playing the game due lacklusters and many other reasons, why do you think Blizzard stopped showing sub count to the public?

they stopped showing sub count 2+ years ago, thats hardly a valid argument for players quitting. On that note it was never a good argument.

Current player count is somewhere around 3-5M based on trackable stats.

If you consider a game "dead" that still has millions of players then sure.

Diablo 2 never had that many players at once even at its best years.
