Hi guys, I used to play wow for years and years (my main has over 100 days played) and I have literally dozens of alt's at level 90 / 100 / 110

I have not played the game since March of 2017 (call it 17 months) and I literally just googled when the new expansion comes out, turns out it came out last week haha.

This question I'm about to ask is now going to be complicated with the new expansion but,

-Has the game gotten better or worse in the last 2 years?
-If I love PvP and it's all I used to do - will I love it again this time around?
-My main is (was) a Restoration Druid, are they any good?? (will they be good in both PvP and PvE this xpac)

It's gotten better with this exp.
The whole expansion is literally about the horde vs alliance again. It's a pvp expansion it's different but still fun.

And resto is still decent

game is really boring and requires work. wouldnt recommend. really miss the wotlk days and even though cata sucked i miss van-cata where there were no unnecessary required* questlines such as the cape from mop, ring from wod, art weapon from legion and the current amulet from BFA. these grinds are so unfun and make having alts not possible.
i think im done with wow until they go back to how things were in van-cata. also personal loot seems really silly. but yea games a total waste of time, yields little fun and requires obscene amounts of grind/work. you seriously have to be a pleb to find this game entertaining.

The loot is pretty dull, i’ll agree there.
It’s the only worthwhile MMO, of course it’s a huge time sink.
Money to be made this expansion though imo.

im not really sure about other mmos. only mmos i mainly played were guild wars 1 and wow:wotlk. and wotlk you could have a decked out main and 2 alts and still have a life. was perfect. idk wtf they were smoking when they thought of mop and beyond but even worse idk what the users are doing with their lives to keep the game going on strong.

like the game as is fine if theyd just get rid of that amulet/artifacts/legendary questlines and have us able fly at max level. the flying part is the real killer for me. and being able to grind rep by just putting on a tabard...my god. game was so golden back then.

edit: also the time sink isnt really the main concern..its that there isnt enough fun coming out of the time sink for the time sink to be worth it.

I currently have 2 jobs, a girlfriend, and try to do at least 5 hours of cardio a week. The only time I have to play this game is at night when the girl is asleep haha

Gonna attempt it though! If I think it's unmanageable, I'll cancel the membs.

Yeah good luck with that.
PvP isnt much a time sink but you still need gear.
PvP gear takes awhile to acquire.

in wow drop rate .05 to so slow and gold slow to have 14 110s 1000 battle pets

Still less work than bdo so worth every second to me

Don't listen to the people complaining that every thing isn't handed to you at max level. Lol
