Hi

So I'm unable to post on the official Blizzard/WoW forums, as I canceled my subscription and I'm out of play time.
I recall reading somewhere that your character names are saved to your account up to 90 days on an inactive subscription.
After those 90 days, anyone creating a new character, using one of your names will be able to do so, and the person with the original name will get a "free" name change when they log back in.

Does anyone know, if this is still a thing? Or has it been changed in any way?
I have a plethora of "rare" names, that I would love to keep, even if it meant adding a subscription to the account every 3rd month in order to keep them.

Thanks a lot in advance!

You're confused and lonely.
You don't lose names after 90 days innactivity.

It's 90 days IF you name change. No one can use your old name for 90 days after you name change.

If you don't name change then you'll never lose the name unless blizzard announces that they'll free the names of people that haven't logged in years like it happend in wod.
