in cata it was nice to get off that 35k-40k lava lash crit after holding onto it waiting for searing totem to stack up to 5, that was the closest thing we did to burst dmg back then compared to other classes.

now in legon no more dropping sticks all the time now u just drop them occasionally if u bother to remember and just charge ppl lol warrior w/ totems why even bind purge ur just going to be slamming stormstrike every gcd like its fucing overpower. it was nice not to be gcd capped u had a lot of time to do other stuff besides roll ur balls across the keyboard for yellow numbers

where is the flavor why did enhancement need a shitty ass extra resource mechanic it was so fun to manage mana in wotlk toggle between water shield and lightning shield 4 dmg watch elemental focus procs for cheap healing waves u couldnt drop tremor in fear had to actually use brain
cap totem was the shittiest shit ever no1 who actually fell for it needed to be stunned to be beaten anyway it was a fun gimmick with totemic projection in bgs drop it behind a rock wait like 15 minutes then project it onto a group thas about it fuck

y cant i drop totems while silenced? do u stop rogues from usign vanish/cloak when silenced? warriors from infliminating shout? im dont understand why they have to be the only melee getting their shit rekt by silence just bcos resto is fking op'd and needed that nerf. Couldnt just do that to resto??? learn to code your game

and tbh i almost put a bullet in my brain when stoneclaw totem was removd.. To this day that spot on my bars is left empty to pay tribute

when it was live, in terms of raid difficulty and aesthetic design, TBC was the best expansion IMO.

In terms of what's on private servers currently for scripting, imo, WOTLK > Vanilla > TBC. But i haven't delved into the TBC realms for a year or so, i know some of the scripting got boosted after nost fell apart.


At OP, I found druids in WOTLK to be the most dynamic and fun class given the shape shifting and such. Shamans were fun as hell though as well.

I remember I had a 39 shaman twink with a Pendulum of Doom. If I got a windfury and weapon proc I would 1 shot other twinks. Unfortunately it was all RNG based, but was alot of fun as even with the slow attack speed you could still chunk people with every hit. At the time pendulum of doom sold for a shit ton as it was the highest dps 2 hander for that tier, and some guy sold it to me for like 50 gold or something.
