Never really played, any popular server to start on? And what's better. Horde or alliance?

Go for a high populated server and find a friendly guild to join

Ally or Horde doesn't really matter, neither does class. Just pick what you think sounds interesting and start with that, you'll most likely make a few different characters anyway :p

tbh, go with whatever catches your eye, since pretty much everything is cross-realm nowadays (unless you plan on doing mythic raiding, which as a new player I assume is not the case)

Yeah. Going to play some more tonight and hopefully get off tutorial place.
