I have a collector's edition box which i bought the year it came out (2004?). In perfect condition, but unsealed.

I do not remember if i have registered it's cd-key to my email address.

Is there a way to find that out without trying to log in to the game? I do not want to ruin the opportunity to register the game to a new email address.

PM if needed.

I would sell it instead of using it, you only get 3 pets.

You could contact blizzard and ask if the CD key has been used. If so, you can get access to the account you used it on more than likely.

you can type in the key on your bnet account, then it will either say its used or it will ask you to confirm to use it

I would not be 100% on attempting to use and hoping for the confirm. Best bet is to ask blizz via ticket if the code is used. Then sell it. The original collectors edition, unsealed but with pet codes is worth some serious money on (edit: Those sites that facilitate sales of things for real money from independent sellers) I think sealed is like $1k, but the pet codes are the main attraction for many, not necessarily the cellophane wrap. I'd guess unused codes are $500-800.

Thank you for all replies.

The deal is, i -have- tried to ask blizzard via ticket. They started writing about tying my bnet account to my wow-key either if i had done it already or not, as if they was hesitant to check for me, as if they didn't want me to sell it. I didn't want that, so i didn't go through with it. I guess they didn't want me to sell it.

I guess the only way to 100% find out, is to sell it as if the keys are unused, join the buyer as he logs in and checks if the pets are not collected, or something like this. Maybe make the sale contingent that he or she film the process of logging in, but that is sketchy too, can just log in with another email first, collect the pets, then use their own email and videotape it.

Maybe i'll try blizzard one more time. There must a way they can check for me.

Just make the buyer use teamviewer, send him the keys when you can see his screen and check it at the same time he does

He gotta be fast af then tho, faster than you copying the key from email and inserting it on the already opened browser via teamviewer
