I have barely touched rated PvP on my DH because I really wanted to figure the class out before i did anything with him. Grabbed some random druid today and went 11-0.

Horde or ally?

Going 11-0 doesn't make you 2.2k+ xp
That just means you played 2s (a very unbalanced bracket) & won a string of arenas.

Horde ofc. No one is ally. And DH is worst DPs class ATM by far. Only comp that is alright with DH is demo DH healer.
