So, I have been a FPS gamer for awhile, especially on xbox one. I recently bought an alienware laptop and wanna explore more games. I have always been somewhat interested in WoW but it's a lot to take on and I just feel like I'm too late to jump into the game. People will destroy me instantly lol. Also, I don't care to play by myself. I like multiplayer gaming with friends but don't really have any on PC.

What do you all think? is there another game coming out that I should dedicated my time to instead?

There are multiple mmorpgs out there you can try, but none of them are as good as WoW...even after all these years
Sure the game has changed a lot since vanilla but you can never be too late to play WoW
As you said the game will be boring to play alone but once you find a guild that does stuff you like or you play with your real life friends the game will be really fun especially to new players

Definitely not too late, the community is pretty good and the game itself is super fun, there is a lot to learn and do, especially at first.

Content is fairly gated by gear and skill (in order to get gear.. you won't get top end gear if you suck). But you can't still get decent gear even for being new. Just play it and enjoy it. You won experience much social interaction, even if you join a guilt, until max level. Fair warning. And if you get stuck somewhere or have any questions then you can probably find the answer on google.

Curse.com (find wow addons) and just fiddle around with whatever you'd like.

Some random forums might have answers the above sites wouldn't so just Google and you'll be fine. Enjoy mate

new expansion good time to start as people learn classes again, plus they dumbed everything down so each class only has like 5-10 abilities.

Game is getting more noob friendly over the years . ( even in vanilla it was the most new player friendly mmo out there )
