Let's say, hypothetically, I had an account with 11 100s. Could I 'rent' that account to someone for FG? In the same way that the runescapers do?

Was just thinking about it, and, hypothetically, if I had an account and were too lazy to farm cata raids on it, someone could rent the account and do whatever the hell they wanted for an X amount of time. Including making (if cata raids average to 6000g each week) around 66,000g per week.

That's so weird. Both cases are, at the lowest level, renting your account out for access.

EDIT: Kinda hoping a med/mod happens to see this to clarify. I can't find anything that doesn't explicitly disallow.

I dont see why you cant.
Renting beta is the same imo.
Even leveling services your allowing access to your account.
Account owner is the only one taking risk.

Against blizzard terms. Even renting to level is called account sharing and can result in an account closer

I'd be interested in this.

Also I'm pretty sure he knows it's against blizzards rules. But that's not his question. How does jsp feel
about it

I fully understand the implications of what could happen to my account through Blizzard. Anyone who lets anyone use their account is breaking the blizzard TOS.

If you let someone pilot your account for CMs, arenas, honor farming, level jobs, or any of the hundred of other things that people do here, the possibility of getting banned is the same.

My point exactly.

I dont see why you cant , nothing in the rules is said about that , beta or not , one thing you cant for sure is trading ( selling ) an account , however if you wanna be 100% sure contact an active trade mod or mod

I contacted one of the senior mods (Abby) and I couldn't quite figure out what her response meant, so I asked her to clarify.

This is really interesting.
