i never played vanilla wow i would love if they did make a server that was vanilla

the pristine server idea is dumb. While it would be nice to have a more social server. it would just be a slowed down version of WoD or Legion, which is not what people want.

Legion will flop then I'll hear the same people bitch about how it's a Facebook game. Y'all can continue to dungeon and raid with folks who don't know their character and continue to wipe on easy mode.

Yay demon hunters! Something that should've been in the game since BC... Gtfo y'all can continue to sub by all means. If you love the game in its current state, play it. But those who grew up with it and actually enjoyed seeing content instead of hitting 100 in a day or 2, will be awaiting legacy servers.

They will happen, don't think they won't. They even patched Diablo 2. That game is filled with bots yet people say "there's not enough people to have legacy servers" cmon boss... Diablo 2 has a small community yet it has more social aspect than blizzards money maker.

I really don't want to hear how legion will be good or revive wow. Cause it won't.

Even if 'pristines' were perfectly executed, it wouldn't matter. In the years it would take for them to become a reality, Legion will already have flopped and the game will be dead. That will open up the possibility for legacy servers.

You know i've played WoW since vanilla and yes it was great back then but times change guys, you have to grow up and move on. If they did make the "legacy servers" it would just be the hardcore people because it takes like anywhere between 1-3 months to hit 60 people have lives now and get bored quickly. Then you have to farm all the gear that takes months. Yes, it was cool getting gear that only a select few had but then again was it really that good? I would play the servers don't get me wrong but I do prefer the current World of Warcraft because it is a brand new game it isn't something from 12 years old.


PS:

If legacy servers start you need to continue right? Because after about a year or two of playing on the server people will obtain most if not all the end game gear then what? They add the expansion and in the end it will lead to the current expansion.

Well that's one of the things that has been heavily debated. The more you start thinking about all the options people would ask for, the more things start to get out of control, which is part of the resistance to legacy servers.

What nost was going to do is when naxx 40 has been out for a while , they would make a BC server and ppl who want to move on could copy theyr character to it and other who want to stick to vanilla can just stay there , Pretty easy solution

I'm guessing you're talking in a pve sense?

There's still progressive and competitive pvp. Not just vanilla bgs, but BC brought arena which was a huge update for the pvp community

They could implement a ladder type system. Making minor tweaks to classes etc. keep the content the same, but make minor adjustments. Maybe have a legacy pvp arena tournament? I don't know what pvp people are into these days, but I'm sure something along those lines.
