What's the standard for measuring how successful Legion is?

Subscriptions ballooned to 10mil for the Wod launch. If Legion repeats this, then we would have to say Blizz would be really happy about that.

Without official number, educated guesses put the current subscriptions somewhere between 3-4 million. By the time the Legion pre-patch comes, the number will drop some more, surely below 3mil.

So, what if Legion launch sees it jump to 7 mil? Would that be considered a success?
What if it peaks at only 5 mil? Would that be a sign that Legion is the end of WoW?

i am too tired to answer all your questions but with this "new" game time for gold system blizzard still makes fuckton of $ and they have ideas for the new expansion for next 10 years.

Legion will be a success if it tops BC because that's what they're getting at

They are making more money per subscriber than they were before, so we can't put the numbers from other points of the game side-by-side for a comparison.

How so? Seems like they are balancing it better than usual and the new pvp leveling system seems like it'll add more depth and shit to work towards.

Legion so far looks good, though I'm not much of a pvp person so pve seems good for me anyways.

I hope they bring legacy servers into the game I'd love to be able to raid in tbc or wotl again

Legion's success or failure will be determined by sub count 1-2 months after release. Just like all blizzard games there is a balloon at release, were all in our 30s now so the cost of the game isn't a concern the same way it was when u begged your mom for 45$ to buy a battlechest.
