dropped by Skeletal Runesmith and Skeletal Runesmith

Any idea why there would be 2 versions of this Skeletal Runesmith?

*Based on their npc ids, it's fairly obvious they were both developed and added to the data before WOTLK launch (one wasn't scripted later to have the nerfed drops)
*The one with the lower id is the only one flagged as an objective for the quest Training in the Field (which was added 2 or 3 patches later)

The only wild guess I can come up with is that there was some phasing in the area, and they wanted to put a mob in both phases so they made a copy. Although this is really a bad explanation because why did they need to make a copy for that....

Anyone can find any clues to shed light on what purpose having 2 npcs here serves? paying FG for good guesses

just your usual shitty blizzard coding at its finest

they probably wanted the mobs to be easier to kill for the dally or something. Like one of the NPCs has 12,600 HP and the other has 5k.
