Wrath by far was my favorite

never played vanilla
joined way late TBC and it was aight
so i stuck around through WOTLK which was a lot of fun to me - started assuming different roles in guild and met a lot of chill people (that jumping around dal for 29340242083429 hours)
got into pvp and became GM of a really tight pvp guild on my server... definitely the highlight of WOW for me
Mists was pretty bleh... didn't enjoy pvp nearly as much and felt there was just too much of the same stuff... enjoyed some pve

vanilla is not an expansion bro.

For those of you who chose Vanilla check out Nostalrius Begins

its a vanilla private server that was in the works for 4 years and it just released on feb 28 so the level grind is the main focus of 99% of players atm.

its definitely a blast if you want those glorifying feels of camping STV all over again

things to note:
retail vanilla servers held ~2500 players maximum, on nostalrius there are 6-7k people online during weekends so world pvp here is absolutely savage

Or you can not be poor and spend $15 a month to play

On topic though, WotLK was my favorite.
I played Vanilla and TBC but I only PvP'd at a twink level (49) because I was into just annihilating people in BGs.
WotLK was when I got into Arena and PvE and I had top gearscore on my realm and I had Gladiator.

the subscription price has nothing to do with personal preference lol

I didn't say the last few were good nor did I say anything out of the question.
The game is pay to play, if you can't afford to play then don't play.





By all means, go play on your little private servers. I'm sure there are forums for them, just not here
