hey guys. so ive been playing around with sub/combat, and whereas for sub i noticed its crucial to energy pool, is it also as important as for combat? i mean in sub u need to pool energy to maximise damage in dance or for emergency cc's and whatnot. but combat seems to be about getting to guile quickly as possible and getting out those killing sprees. so shud i just be spamming sinister strikes without worrying about pooling?

any help wud be great. thanks

as for PVE, use your energy before killing spree, since you can not use any other spells while you're in killing spree but your energy will continue to regenerate.


Opener would be:

pre pot - Ambush - SnD - Rev strike - Sinister spam till 0 energy - killing spree - AdRush - Sinister spam

hold SnD up and Rev strike.

use Vanish + Free ambush when you have 30% buff up and prep + Vanish again after, for double free ambush without pooling.

If you have alot of haste, haste procs etc and you use Ad rush while Bloodlust/Timewarp is on, you can not spend energy faster than you gain, so you will pool nonstop.

I prefer saving A Rush till after BL/TW, and then use the pot together with this.

as for pvp:

No fucking clue

so you use SnD with 2 combopoints only? i've also waited till i had 5.

I always open like this. ambush > ambush(from vanish) > reveal > SnD and so on..

But again, maybe im not the best rogue yet, haha

yeah I use with 2 cp, I want it up as fast as possible so I have the attackspeed and the energy regen.

if you wait for 5 cp, there's a few secounds waste - and with the opening from above you will not have any downtime on snd

- but I think your opener also works, I'll give it a go later on

Depending who you are facing but energy pooling is quite important when you are going vs anyone coupled with a healer or tryin to kill the healer itself. Since just mindlesly tunneling wont get you anywhere. Having full energy before kidneys is often especially important, same goes for blinds etc so you can burst as much dmg out before the heals start rolling again
