Just restarting after a long time, heard Ret pally's are great. What would be a fun character to make?

Really depends on what you like..

Ret pallys are good, but it depends on you wether you think they're fun or not.. I leveled my pala to level 70. They're really good, and was hella fun in the beginning, but i got kinda lost with them in the end (after 60), and started finding them a bit boring.. Maybe i will return to it

Got my shadowpriest to level 100 a few days, and im having a blast with her!

All classes seems decent atm, tbh.

Make what you want or what you're good at

Just cause a class isn't balanced doesn't mean you'll be good with them or like it

Ret is in a good place. I don't see them getting nerfed at all. Plus, they are not gear depedent because of how much holy damage they pump out. Priority rotation so it's not super boring like wotlk and it has some fun procs. I'm almost always top burst damage and my sustained dps isn't something to sneeze at either.

If you like ret since you mentioned it; do it. You won't be disappointed. Just note that melee dps are a dime a dozen atm so it will be harder to pug or find a guild. But do what you love.
