Hey there,

We saw you were having some problems looting the Core of Iron after finishing the Grimrail Depot. This one is a bit tricky but there is a lot of great information out there to help you with this.

The Core of Iron will not actually drop from the final boss, Skylord Tovra. Instead, look behind the boss and there should be a golden glittering engine compartment that contains the legendary quest item. You will be able to open and loot it from there. Since this quest can only be completed on Heroic, you will only be able to make one attempt per day. If you have already completed the instance, you won’t be able to TP back in and grab it once you leave. This isn’t something we are going to be able to send to you since it isn’t actually boss loot that didn’t drop correctly.

Our queue times are still high right now so it will be much faster for you to go ahead and complete this instance again after the resets tomorrow. We don’t want you waiting around for us to just let you know we aren’t able to replace it for you and have to do the instance again anyways.

xpac just came out, they get ddos'd it seems on a regular basis. they are trying to implement all the updates such as arenas, rbgs, lfr and regular raiding. they are trying to fix their autentication services. and theres only a limited staff to get all this done.

your core of iron didnt drop, oh well do it again, they have a much bigger plate that you. btw they are also getting many other tickets as well.
