I played a feral in wotlk and with wod I decided to main one again. my problem is according to what I have seen feral dps should be fairly competitive with most other specs, but I always seem to fall behind
631 ilvl prioritizing crit. I have some of the weaker crit enchants as well

I typically run with a dk tank, mm hunter, ww monk and then the last spot is random.
everyone is geared fairly equally as far as ilvl all around 630 but it is very rare I am ever top dps on a boss.. if there isn't a lot of adds/movement I might hit 18-20k (this is without any sort of time warp/bloodlust)

I think my rotation is pretty solid. I did make a macro for a few abilities, berserk, berserking, king of the jungle. all have the same cd and should be used at the same time as far as I understand anyways

any thoughts/tips?

have been doing this and even watching procs for best time to apply dots.. never seem to do as well as others

all I can suggest like Lerppu said, dots

yep they are always up. only time anything might go down a bit is if rip is almost falling off and boss is hitting 25% I usually wait and see if I can fb at 25% to refresh or if I have to rip because it falls off. but even if that happens its only for maybe a second

hmm not sure what happened but now I am doing 20k + dps each boss fight. did 16k overall in the last heroic. looking better to me

You're doing somewhat fine, you just need to realize that feral is phenomenal at single target and falls behind a lot on aoe pulls. (Guardian is king with thrash spam) on sim craft, feral is 2nd in dps overall and don't listen to those claiming to go boomie. Read around in mmo/icy vein forums on what others prioritize for stats.

Feral isn't exactly ideal on CMs mainly because aoe is what makes time. Just keep practicing on reducing downtime and eventually you'll get the hang of it.
