dear diary,

coming back from a long hiatus as im sure many others are. I'm rerolling with some friends on a new server, so i started playing a priest (class ive played through most expansions). my intention was to hit 60 (54 now) for the free professions with boost.

now im bored with the priest and i figure i could always just transfer my 90 priest some other time if i really wanted to play it so i can instead boost another class. problem is im far too lazy/busy/casual to start another class and level up to 60 again, even if its incredibly easy.

bottom line: is leveling professions still a huge pain in the ass? i know it used to be and trying to buy low level crafting materials for crafting professions used to be very costly. just wondering what you guys think

Leveling new professions is basically...
Kill mobs, they drop items you need to use WOD profession materials on to "repair" them and then they turn in as a quest for an upgraded version that sells for gold and gives 5 skill ups.

yeah im reading a lot of info about how garrisons work with professions now, but still pretty overwhelming since ive been out of the game for so long now. so leveling professions in general is much easier/faster now? just want to know if its really worth getting the free level 600 professions

Inscription/Alchemy/Enchanting in regards to money, because they create tangible items other people use more so than BS/Tailoring/LW where they are more towards gear. Gear can be low profit margins depending on the servers economy. Raw mats into glyphs, pots, enchanting always sell consistently.

Raiding? I believe will be all out the window come tonight.
