They are both good.
I think Demo is also going to be good.

Affliction is one of the lowest dps specs across the board for PvE at all item levels currently.

Destruction is currently the highest for locks.

It depends on your server.

It is the end of the expansion so nothing is going to make you huge money right now and with WoD coming out in mid November the economy's going to change slightly.

At the beginning of WoD alchemy and enchanter is going to be big cause of people doing progression raiding.

Mining, Skinning, Herbalism are always a safe bet. Again it varies by server.

tailoring ? i think thats one of the worse professions ever to get. i had it on my lock before and it was shit. its just not making money. also it costs a shitload to level id say.

with mining you'd be a lot better off with JC really. at least you can mine your own ore , prospect , cut and sell gems -> profit!

Destro and professions are whatever you prefer because for WoD they removed profession perks.
