1. I didn’t rage quit.

I quietly slipped away; after one more failed raid night, one more cash shop mount, one more update that felt like it was built for shareholders, not players.

2. WoW used to feel like a world.

Now it feels like a transaction.
Every patch? Timegated.
Every gear grind? Invalidated next season.
Every friend? Offline, burned out, unsubbed.

3. So I logged into OSRS again; just for fun.

No battle pass.
No popups.
Just me, a bronze axe, and that dusty bank full of memories.

4. What hit me hardest?

The silence.
The grind.
The peace.
Fishing in Barbarian Village while the sun set outside my window felt realer than anything I'd done in Azeroth in years.

5. OSRS doesn’t hold your hand.

It doesn’t beg you to log in.
It respects your time by wasting it in the best possible way.

6. And the community?

Not perfect; but it’s real.
Clan chats, random help from strangers, memes about how we all got scammed at 12 years old.

7. I still love what WoW gave me.

The raids. The lore. The friends.
But OSRS gave me back something deeper:
A feeling of being grounded.

8. So yeah; I quit WoW.

Not out of hate, but heartbreak.
And I came back to OSRS because in its simplicity, I found myself again.

So you watched a bunch of streamers play the game and jumped on the wagon and is still on the honey moon phase.
Good for you, glad you enjoy it and found a game which suits your current needs in your current life situation.
Every MMORPG is interesting in the beginning, but the flaws of OSRS will reveal themselves and you will get burned out just like everyone.
I play both, one more than the other at times. They are both solid experiences until they stop being interesting again.
You will get bored of OSRS eventually and you will return to WoW and then it will capture your interest again and thus the cycle repeats itself.

An OSRS-player looking for something fresh just like the people doing the opposite?
