I would say trade epics, for me atleast that have been the best way to get gold in "Work you need to do/Reward". You can easily get 50% profit on each epic if you gather mats yourself and negotiate with the crafter about fee per spirit of harmony. The epics should be atleast 496 ilvl + in armour, weaps could be lower.

If you wanna use professions you could always get cheap herbs and turn them into potions/flasks like usual. If you got 350k u should try to buy TCG mounts, u can easily get 100-200k profit on each mount but its pretty hard to find sellers.

I disagree. The profit isn't what it used to be on TCG (at least on my server). I actually got out of the buisness.
Those with gold now tend to save for BMAH instead and most ppl who wanted TCG already have it. The demand isn't what it used to be.

Well, I still think its viable. I bought 1x Spectral tiger + 1x Swift Spectral in november. I sold the Swift one 1 hour after I got it for 150k more than I bought it for, so I would say its still viable if you know the right people. I got a few people that wait for mounts on my server so directly when I get a mount I got a customer.. but if u try to sell it in trade it can take a couple of months..

That's just it. We used to be able to sell them quickly in both trade and on the AH without knowing the right people before the dupe wave that hit around ~august last year. Even the least rare TCG mounts were in high demand as they were available at best once or twice a month, so people would jump on them. I remember once when looking up swift spectral on TUJ and it had been seen "more than 6 month ago" on the 4th biggest realm in europe, that's how uncommon it used to be, with a price tag of 850k-1.1m.

When the duping was at its worst there were 3+ or more of every(!) TCG mount available 24/7 for a measly 20-30% their normal price and that went on for pmuch the remainder of the xpac. The serious collectors got all of them, the average players got the one or two they had always wished for, heck everyone could afford one if they invested some effort (or if they played during the patch 4.3 release ). "There i was, doing nothing, then the friggin' EXPANSION came and threw gold right in my face! WTFBBQ. Anyways that's how i got rich.

Coughing up at least 100k+ for a mount when i can use it on every one of my toons instead of only 1 of them makes a purchase look that much more attractive. I had imagined the introduction of account wide mounts combined with fixing the main duping method behind it all would have a positive effect on the TCG market, i'm glad to hear it didn't take longer than til november for it to recover enough to be usable again.

Just back on WoW, and at Cataclysm it was really good to make money with selling gems at AH ! I plan to learn it now on my new main if still the better profession ?!

I would say its very profitable trading gems, but it requires some work. You'll most of the time find cheap gems @ ah,, like 5-25g each which u easily can sell for 100-150g each. But as I said earlier, u'll spend a lot of time searching the AH and putting them on the auctionhouse which can be painful if we are talking about 250+ gems.

I'm on a high pop server. During cata I had about 2x full sets of every mount. SOOOO many mounts hit my server. Yeah, I was buying TCG in bulk from these guys. I sold out when Chakra mentioned, but not many want them any more. I'm not in a spot like you mention that ppl actually spam to buy em.
