When you see the ball flying you need to think where it lands, you need einstein to play this.

Think of it like chess... you make one move based on how the next 3 (or so) moves go, which is thinking ahead. Baseball you have different pitches, positions and the ball goes in a random place, but one at a time.

But I wouldn't expect a simpleton, who hasn't played competitive baseball before, to understand this.
