What exactly is it about being silly and playing pretend that stops you from having a successful job, life partner, intelligent children, or lavish material goods?

As adults we tend to measure being a "grown up" by actual benchmarks of success, gainful employments and successful family bonds for the most part, not how you get your kicks once the kids go to bed. Perhaps you haven't met enough benchmarks to transition from the teenage mentality that hobbies and personal quirks are more important than your accomplishments, im sure in a few years you'll drop the act and stop acting elitist and realize preference and difference is a thing. But maybe not, some people just never seem to grow up no matter how old the get.

feel free to argue either of these points with something other than anecdotal horseshit, or you could stop asserting them. Either one. Or you can continue looking like the kid who's mad that other people enjoy things that don't effect him to the point that he needs to join the conversation of a game he doesnt play just to tell everyone they also shouldnt play it, or at least to play it the way he played it when he played it before he stopped playing it. That's certainly a good use of your time.

Role playing isn't necessarily hugging and kissing. I've been on servers where role playing involves; questing from level 1( to the lore), pvping with certain transmogs and line ups, the list goes on.

I don't understand why people get so worked up about how others enjoy their free time. Worry about your own life and people you surround yourself with, not strangers on the Internet.

Try playing the role of real life, that's usually the best case of role playing.
