It's all about connections and using your brain if you don't raid.
I had 60k to my name when I returned from my break. I turned it into 15mil+ (2-3 months).
I don't raid/pvp/ah sit.
1. I work out big package deals cross realms with people. Usually for mounts/collectibles. Buy/sell in bulk.
2. I have amazing contacts for cheap mounts/supplies/xfers
3. Post my items in bulk @ cheap. And login to empty mailbox/figure out which toon to send it to/repeat.
Example: A guy wants a white camel, gives gold for one, I give mount on my realm. I buy an item that's 5k each on his realm. Pay my xferer a small deal in gold to bring it to my realm. I then resell the item on my realm for 20k-40k ea. (15-35k profit per)
I haven't played the game in over a month. Just log in to clear mail/repost.
Everytime I login I get 2-5 whispers asking for mounts/items from my buyers lol. It's annoying.
I also have amazing connections for mounts / mats. So i have little competition.
Everytime I make 1-2 mil, it seems like I'm turning around and investing it into another 3-5 mil.
:)
Indeed, spend that money to make even more! Any time my friends decide to come back, i always tell them to buy 1 million gold(i normally loan them if it they on my realms) You really need gold to make gold.

What has wow become -.-
Used to be so good...
People have always made loads of gold by doing exactly what this guy does. Back in TBC, i made 10,000 gold a week with farming for 1 hour a day.
10,000 gold in TCG is like....300,000-500,000 gold today
Always nice to have friends who can give you a small loan of 1,000,000....gold. ^.^
