It really depends on how much time you actually spend playing the game daily to make those 4.7k gold a day.

Because I can make way more than 4.7k a day without even bothering with auction prices or deals or people, just simply auction everything a 1c less than the cheapest with TSM and go about my way.

Now it takes me not more than 1 hour of farm to make 5k average.

What about you? How long do you spend daily playing to make 5k with the auction trading alone? And how much effort do you have to put?


Tldr: I'm not so sure auction trading to make gold is any good nowadays compared to other activities.

23k from mail when I was away doing other stuff, I would say trading is more effective ^^.. buy stuff with addons and put it back @ ah go afk and collect a lot of gold

I have tried this but not had much success can you give me some tips. Such as buying and selling times? I know buying is best as at the start of the wow week

I just buy herbs and ores and flip them. Profit is marginal, but I don't have time to break out the excel worksheets. Got all the mounts/pets. Got more than enough gold for tokens.

The most I ever had at one time is 1/2 million gold.

Certain days sell best, the best time to buy is on Tuesday. Lots of people just dump them to get rid of em.
I spam trade chat saying buy all for 140 a pop, usually get a good amount from that.
I insta buy anything under 160 and then on Friday I post everything I've got for 175/180 and always sell.

I do pretty good with reselling medallions.
Going down to 5-5.5k (buying time) and sometimes up to 8-9k (happy selling time)
