Back in the day I started off with low level greens. Buying the ones that were cheap and marking them up. Eventually I got to the point where I would buy all of them... then just jack up the prices. Which is what got me suspended the first time xD
Now I mostly flip crafting materials / popular crafts / greens I can disenchant for profit. A lot of people still seem to be leveling professions the old way also. Jewelcrafting and Enchanting mats to push people to 300 are easy to sell. I've also got total control over glyphs and BS crafting on the AH. I spent quite a while dropping prices so low that it wasn't worth it for people to bother posting stuff. Now I have my prices set and every time someone posts one for less I just buy it and sell it back for my price.
Only thing you can't do that with and get away with it is low level stuff. Thats when you get in trouble
I'll be home in ~2 hours should have time to get screens shortly after. Maybe I can post a more updated / detailed auction master + tradeskillmaster guide this weekend. The one in the sticky is semi outdated and only works if there aren't 50 other people doing it
Low-Mid pop servers are always better for gold imo. Other than the guy on darkspear I only know one other person with more than 4 mil on a high pop. Know quite a few on RP and low pop realms lol
