That may be true about vanilla servers, but I'm playing wotlk right now and having plenty of fun. Players are generally pretty noobly, but it doesn't stop me from logging on whenever I want and enjoying my rdfs, bgs, raids or just doing stuff solo like old raids, leveling alts or working on my twinks.

I've gotten bored of WoW many times too, but I find that starting from scratch on a new server refreshes my interest. Even though it's the same Arathi Basin I've been playing for 10 years, its still fun.
