game sucks now, it's not just you. every xpac has been going downhill more and more with exception to wod which is a slight step from pandaland. you have half the skills, a whole 7 talents, shit is just too easy and fast paced as far as progression. very anti social too with garrisons. you can do and make everything yourself so you don't need anybody for anything, really.
professions don't matter so skin/lw is fine, anything else would be fine too with exception to 2 crafting professions that require materials you cannot acquire unless you plan on having money and buying them off the AH if you don't have higher toons to give you the materials.
i suggest to go back to a game you enjoy though. sounds like you won't have fun, and it's a waste of money playing a game you dislike, especially if you still need to buy the rest of the xpacs.

I really liked this game back in the WotLK days. I think I still have my old account. Won't pay to play anymore tho. If they ever make the game F2P I may come back.
I love cute pandas. Why I thought I'd give this game another try. At least I got to see the starting content for pandas. That giant turtle island... silly imo but I guess anything goes in this fantasy world.
