i used to share an accnt with my uncle and never had an issue when playing at my house vs. his.

I feel like it must authenticate with your computer as well as not the exact ip but the range of that ip address or isp somehow..
if I remember correctly if I would bring 2 of my laptops to my parents for the first time and try to login both get prompted, but after that they are essentially saved in there forever. even after formatting I don't recall having to reauthenticate again.
