The Key is DON'T look for them. Let them come to you lol. Most of them I don't see in my inventory until I am vendoring trash.

Pirate's Booty Guide (Part 2)

Part 1 was a Cata Guide I made for those who desire fast gold loots with 1-2 hit kills and tons of Cata Cloth.
Part 2 is a MoP Guide for those who desire SkyShards, Motes of Harmony, fast gold loots and tons of MoP ores/herbs/cloth.



Zone: Vale of Eternal Blossoms
Lvl Requirements:90

Items Needed
[Potion of Luck]
[Golden Moss] (Trinket)
[Golden Fleece] (Trinket)



-Quick Strategy-

First thing I do is log my gold and my inventory to track my run's wealth.
Then I check my character to make sure I have both trinkets in place
I start @ Point A that is marked on the map and check for any rares that might be up. (Rare 1, 2 ,3 on map)
The fastest way to do this is to have your rare finder addon's on and to look for the arrows on the mini map.
Once ready, pot up and clear rooms 1-3 and then head back and clear room 2 and 1.
Check your mini map for rares again once back @ point A. Then repeat and clear 1-3 again.
Most will do rooms 1-3 only. But I also clear the north section all the way to the Cache Room.
The reason I do this is because 90% of my SkyShards dropped from mobs in the Cache Room.
I only clear the East section if the rare spider is up. (Rare 3 on Map)
In room 4 you can use the orb to unlock the barrier. There you can use your keys to loot the Caches.
So make sure Auto Loot is on, clear rooms 1-3 for fast big pulls and kill the rares as they pop for bonus loot.
Once full instead of running out just hearth back to Vale and vendor/bank as needed. Then fly back.

-Profits-

An average 20min run will get you anywhere from 200-500g looting. (Depending on your trinket drops)
The trinket rewards are random amounts every 5 mins. Keep in mind other players can loot your gold.
100g in Vendor Trash and 400-500g in MoP Mats.
So overall 1k+ gold per 20 mins + 10+ Motes.
I usually average 5+ keys per run + 4-5 Vale Chests from rares/caches.
Which are great for Motes of Harmony and other loots.
I average 6-10 Treasure Boxes from the Potion of Luck. These contain nice rewards.
Rewards such as ores/cloth/herbs/motes of harmony.
The Caches/Treasure boxes give you a decent chunk of gold as well.
Once you get 10 SkyShards you can offer the kill in Trade for a nice stack of cash.
The Motes of Harmony can also be used for money methods.





-Why Do this-


That's pretty easy... The potion buff+tinket drops+ the cache keys+ the cache loots + the vale treasure boxes = an amazing combination..
Tons of gold/loot, tons of Motes of Harmony, and a really great chance @ looting SkyShards.
The reason I do this is not only to make some quick extra cash but Treasure Boxes, Guo-Lai Caches,
Lock boxes, and the gold dropped from the Trinkets count towards the [Got my mind on my money]Achievement.
I enjoy this area because it is full of precious drops. This is an amazing way to farm SkyShards (Rare drops used to remove Alani's barrier)
If a miner you can mine the statue kills for ores or trash.

(Note* ANYONE can loot your trinket drops. So make sure you loot them quick or try to pick times when nobody is around.)
The issue with this zone is that on a more populated server this place can be packed. Rares are hunted often in there.
But the trash mobs respawn fairly quickly.

I hope this helps some of you, I know it helped me get my Skyshards rather quickly.

You can get Treasure's of the Vale chests from the chests inside and from the rares. Those can contain SkyShards. It's been confirmed I got 2 from them.


Below is a log of the run I tracked while writing this guide.
This will give you an idea on what items you can get.

Keep in mind also that the keys are random drops, sometimes you get tons.. Which = a better chance @ SkyShards in boxes + more gold in loot.


Corpse Loot: 232g
Trinket Loot: 204g
Vendor: 109g
Treasure Chests: 10
Cache Keys: 5
Vale Chests: 6
Motes of Harmony: 15
Cloth: 88 - 176g
Leather: 43 - 86g
SkyShards: 1 (Rare Drop)
Lockbox: 1
Extras: (Ores/Dust) 250g
Repairs: 10g

Total Profit: 1057g + Motes + Skyshard
Time Frame: 20 Mins

Prices are based on my server for cloth/leather.

Theres actually a better spot for farming these keys and stuff. I'll post on the map where it is when i get some time.

Pretty sure I've farmed those as well in Vale. I farmed all 3 camps for days trying to get a SkyShard. Never got any.
They do drop a fair amount of keys. But I stick to the vaults since my SkyShard luck went from 0% to 26 Shards.
And I prefer to be near the caches since the buff only lasts 20 mins.

I was watching a movie so I missed quite a few kills and zero rares. Wasted most of my Potion of Luck.
So most of my Total Profits came from gold in chests/trinket. But.. Another SkyShard drop ftw :evil:

Treasure Chests: 16
Cache Keys: 3
Vale Chests: 0
Motes of Harmony: 10
Cloth: 66 - 165g
Leather: 22 - 55g

Total Profit: 1248g




Overall Gold Looted last few days: 9.1k Gold. (Just gold from trinkets/corpes/boxes/chests)
Not counting any of my AH sales.




Hunting Warscouts/Warbringers for the Blue Bags is a great way to bank some quick cash as well.
The herb loot alone can be 1k+ Gold. But it depends on the server and how well they sell.
The rep emblems vendor for quite a bit of cash. I will post screenshots of stacks in the guide.

This will be my next quide, so keep tracking over the next couple days.
