but yeah @OP disc is the way to go. I remember leveling my priest and early on (20-30 range) i could shield myself up and pull more than my similar-level prot warrior could. just dot things, then spam smite/holyfire/penance.

Just to let you all know I have like 3 90 priests, I just haven't done the low level grind in so low that's why I was wondering what was better

Questers will say shadow.. dungeoneers will say disc/holy

unless your tank's getting 1 shot, i don't see why the cd would matter... it's not a 3 minute cd

I still remember that one lvl20 tank with like 600 hp in stockades and when he wasn't shielded his health was like yoyo when i had to spam heal that ass, druid tanking HLK flashbacks

Back then I did it as Disc. The amount of dmg/healing was ridiculous, don't know if this is still viable. Changed main alt with MoP.

i went holy and have done well even solo up to 88 so far though it can be slow at times so if you wanted consistency i'd go with shadow

edit: after reading your more recent post i'd change to reccommend holy if you know what to expect as a priest already. and i'd actually like to ask what you think would be a good seccondary. also i do know it wasnt a choice just i've had the most practice and fun with it on priest so far.

Go disc. It's high survivability and dmg.

A disc priest is common to be #1-2 dps in a dungeon and heals as it dps.

U kill just as fast as shadow and have an even higher survivability than shadow
