Dont worry about optimisation too much , leveling my first few character back in vanilla , not knowing anything was the most fun shit ever . Vnilla wow is not like currenct mmo where you go from quest hub to quest hub , you have to travel everywhere and do most quest in most zone if you want to leveling doing quest . You will probably get loss , you will have to ask other player for many thing , making friend along the way and leveling take so long you end up seeing the same guy 10 level later and you are like BFF at this point :) .
