I've tanked 13-15s at ~875.

It's sad that people don't understand itemization. My 850 ring is better than two 880s that I have in my bags. The 855 crafted necklace and trinket is best in slot for tanks and some melee DPS classes. My DH friend with 99% parses on a high-pop server is barely 870 equipped and I've seen him beat 880-890 geared players on meters.

That being said, there's no way you're ready at 860 unless you play your class pristinely well, and even then, you need to have near-perfect itemization to keep up at that low of an ilvl.

Sockets adding around 20 ilvls to jewelry is common knowledge, so saying your 850 ring is better than 880s means nothing. Further, it's not the "855" part of the created neck that makes it "bis", it's proper stats and a socket, and trinkets are a completely different ball game than gear.

I'm not sure what the fuck "99% parses on a high-pop server" means, but 880-890 isn't hard to get so he was probably playing with potatoes; you said it yourself, you've seen an 891 doing < 250k overall.I already know for a fact she isn't parsing actual 99% recently with 870.

Proper stats, ilvl, enchants/gems, and trinkets all matter, and none of these should be dismissed for any reason. That is, unless you like 2 chests or banging your head against a wall in a 15

Si7 that's some good input on that comment. I remember having to check all those things when i was in a top 50 world raiding guild. You really have to keep up with your stats in order to keep up with progression.

My ring doesn't have a socket. The 855 rolling double-crit with a socket makes it bis.

99% parses means for his gear, he performs his rotation and maximizes his damage output; i.e he's a skilled player. It means you don't need to be a mythic raider to hold your own.

We must play in fucking Idaho with the amount of mythic+ dungeons we do.

880-890 isn't easy unless you have ridiculous luck with titanforging, legendaries, or just get carried through Mythic because your guild needs bodies.

I'm 879 and I haven't touched mythic en, heroic hov or any mythic+ over 8. This is purely by choice though, my computer is a potato & I don't want to have to explain that me having 5 fps is why I died.

Parses mean nothing if you've got no progression!

Parses actually mean a lot. Progression at this point is pretty useless. If cross-realming was available, you could probably pug Mythic EN with a decent group.

I'm 0/7M EN 0/3M ToV even though my guild is 7/7 2/3. I just don't raid anymore. I have less than 10 days played at 110 and my ilvl is 881.

I've been pugging 7/7H EN and 2/3H ToV for weeks now. I'd pug H Helya but the fight is just ridiculously overtuned.

I'm around 10 days too i think but I play maybe 2-3 hrs a day & started 1.5 months late.

I'm however buying a new computer in a couple of weeks.
Guild I am in is 7/7M 3/3H 1/3M (I just raid heroic en/norm tov with them rn b/c of my 5 fps on LOWEST settings issue).
