I remember purchasing the Magic Rooster Egg because, to me it is the trollest mount in the game, absolutely hilarious and my little gnome (at the time) riding it looked like a flawless boss on that piece of fine chicken.
I actually bought it with FG off jsp, I forgot the price and conversion rate at the time, but it was expensive but I felt I got a good deal on it. It was between that and a spectral tiger, well no one on my lower pop server had the Magic Rooster, so I opted for it. Now whenever I check the AH and websites that show what items have been selling for across all realms on the AH, the Magic Rooster actually sells for way more than the Spectral (correct me if I'm wrong, this was at least 4-6 months ago that I checked.)
From what I understand, the rooster is actually rarer than the tigers, especially since there are two variations, epic and blue, that look nearly identical asides from the tail/foot armor, so they seem to pop up a lot more than people riding a brown feathered chicken around town, complete with red gobbler
