could possibly be that everyone on my server regularly farmed the raid for gold/mount for whatever reason..yeah its quick but piss poor gold to be made imo
never wanted to farm mounts lol
i fly on it not worth my time invested to me, but that is just me.
i would love the original war bear or glad mounts but /cry cannot get them

Well at your level you can solo Onyxia if you feel like farming and get a decently good looking mount. Other than that you can daily farm a few heroics.. even at your level range they are easy to do and they drop beautifull mounts imo.. First one is Heroic Sethekk Hall where you can get Reins of the Raven Lord, i got iit in 23 days of daily farming, it takes 5 minutes and now i use it everyday ^^ I also went to Zul'gurub for the mount run, you first kill Bloodlord Mandokir and try to get the raptor ( took me 2 months ) and when you are done with the lame troll.. You can switch to another lame troll High Priestess Kilnara and get her panther ( took me like 6-7 days ? I got lucky on this one ) There is also the netherwing dailies you can do everyday that can get you 6 cool nether drakes.

A really easy one even at your level is the chest run in Zul'aman that awards you with a really cool bear ^^ hope that was helpfull :)

Just level and join achievement runs to get older mounts from raids.

Then you can solo the raids and get the 1% mounts from Firelands, ICC, Onyxia's Lair, etc.

i tried getting onyxia for a long time....the only time it ever dropped was when it was current content and it was ninja'd :
