If you can't see how bad the game has gotten since Cata then you're dumbfounded.

Nearly everyone who played since release will put Vanilla, TBC, WotLK in any order above Cata, MoP, WoD.

I really do wish they'd make it so you could go back and do it at the same difficulty.

100% guarantee you would not be able to full clear MC at level 60 during Vanilla lol.

If you've never raided with 40 people you don't know what it takes to get those people to cooperate or even log in to raid.

It was chaos but fun.

Finding a group to do daily heroic quests/dungeons In general was a blast and you could meet all kinds of people that way.

Imo bring back old content. It would be fun to see old raiders return to wow just for BWL progression.

There are certain technological challenge to this. When people connect to the server, are they connecting to version 1.1 or 6.2? Whichever one it is, it creates challenges. They'd have to go back and rewrite vanilla for the 6.2 engine basically. So many things have changed.

It would be more logical, IMO, to release "WoW 1.4" as a new side game (like hearthstone). It could be linked to your battlenet account so u can share the rewards between games, but it would be a separate install on your computer. Although, there would be some challenges in having 2 WoWs installed, it is manageable if people know what to do. Blizzard would just go manually lock all the later content (BWL-Aq-Naxx), but they could pick and choose which game mechanics they wanted to include (UI improvements and such). Then years later, they would release a "WoW 2.4" BC server and restart the process. Each expansion would actually be its own game.

The even better option, however, is just release each future expansion with a few changes to make it more and more match the vanilla philosophy.
*Dungeon Finder tool has to disappear.
*Add raid attunements that are smaller at first, but get longer.
*Release 5mans with optional challenges, but eventually make it so you need to do them to make it worth it, so players get more and more used to longer 5mans instead of 20-30 minutes. Eventually, 2 hour 5mans can become the standard again.
*Make fewer summoning stones and move each one further away from the instance portal. Eventually players will get used to not using them and they can be removed.

it's basically the reverse process of what they have done since patch 2.4

Weird guys that's funny.. I've played since beta.. how weird is that? Also weird how it was SOOO much fun trying to farm for pots as a holy priest to raid Naxx. Nothing 'back in the day' was tough except Naxx and that's because Naxx had stats that were way too high for the raiders.

The only reason shit was hard is because everybody sucked. DPS had downs, tanking was mindless and so was healing.

the problem with this, and coincidentally the reason private servers are so buggy, is because the lua and codes and shit pre-wotlk... are simply gone. any 60 or 70 server is a reverse-coded core called Trinity, which is wotlk.

and honestly, the people on nostwalrus wow are just wotlk molten trash and washed up crap from feenix 60/70. nostalgia is a powerful illusion. it's not going to have 5k players after corecraft launches or school begins again.

I Think it will be huge hit for few months when its hot and fresh than die off.. I Can see blizzard maybe doing this as holiday event for maybe anversity event
