These debates are always stupid. WoW is and always has been the greatest MMO and multiplayer game in the world, how is this even in question?

That doesn't mean it's good or bad though.
They lost 2.5 million subs after reaching 10 million after WoD release.

The 2.5 million were probably people who came back hoping for a nice change but it's clear that Blizzard only wants the game to be casual.

you can still level by doing quests and without using boosted exp gear no gun to your head

actually this is just normal with mostly all expansions in these types of games.

alot of people buy the game again to check new content. once they play a bunch of it they quit again. And buy the next expansion and the procedure repeats itself.

game is far from casual considering the competitive raiding scene currently requires like 3-5 days raiding schedule and 3-4 alts for split farm gear funneling.

The only casual aspect is the old "normal" difficulty that is now called Heroic. With the new LFG tool it made it very easy for casual players to get competent groups going and clear end bosses early on in heroic difficulty.

You can but you still level like 3-4x as fast as you used to



Game is casual as ever.
Gold is worthless, dupers make millions of gold every week.
Get a couple 100s with Storehouse and you literally log in once a day and rake in effortless gold.

I would love if Blizzard made their own realms for each expansion and reset it every 6-12 months like Diablo 2 does. Like a vanilla realm, everyone starts fresh etc.

I bet their subs would go up by alotttt.

Aside from the raid content, I don't even bother playing WoW anymore. Until Hellfire Citadel launches, I just log on to raid for farm clears each week and that's it.

Not happy with the state of the game as it's AFKinGarrisoncraft.
