yeah at that ilvl they are beats but at lower 640s-650s i dont know

Not too sure about that to be honest. Our guildie was on a druid tank and geared up his monk really quick on off days to raid with us. So I'm not sure how he did from 640-650, when he brought the monk in it was already 655+.

i am starting to notice that they may not be as squishy as i thought

when i madet his post earlier i was level 97 and squishier than every other tank and with this i remmeber seeing close to no monk tanks but now that im level 98 almost 99 with abit of gear that is decent and im dealing with my staggered damage properly i am finding i am not too squishy.

i still find that i dislike how much dmg mitigation that i am missing but... i think once i have good enough gear the amount of staggered damage will make up for it.

Trust me, once you hit 655+ you will absolutely love it. They are complete beasts at higher Ilvl's.

I monk & warrior tank.
I very much prefer warrior when I know the fight well because she's better at mitigating incoming damage, where monks usually have to take the hit and focus on staggering it off before the next one, so shields are more effective to be assigned on boss.

both are high mobility which is really nice this expansion so far, but monks are better at moving around spaces where there are not yet enemies & has infinite AoE/Taunts, so I think monk tanking really shines on adds.
