When tier set comes available you will probably have out grown the initial crafted items. However personally I think the crafted trinket for your spec is a must for most all the specs if you don't already have a 640+ that's better. As for the other slots. I basically just make a 640 to replace my lowest ilvl and go from there. I've cycled a few crafted items but don't think I have but one left being worn now. Hope this helps. Gl.
