got that lvl weapon 2 times for 10k igg, still better than a 98 blue

Thats pretty much it, you spent gold for an item you didnt need to vendor everytime an upgrade dropped. I just feel sorry for people who bought the soo clears for gear when the xpac was giving away the upgrades for free while leveling.

I bought a heroic carry for 500g.
now I have 7.8k from quests at 97
no regrets here. Plus I'm more of a casual player
but I've seen ppl pay 20k+ for mythic garrosh only

It's not about the item they paid to get, but the saved time it gave them. If they use that time well, then they'll have more gold or whatever they want than if they didn't pay for it.

Though if they didn't do anything productive with that time, then sucks for them.

hey, i hit 100 and only replaced like 3-4 pieces of my mwf gear, but thats mostly cause betweeen gems/enchants most of my gear was still better than like the 600 ilvl stuff

So... paying a guild 80-100k for a carry for outdated content just to save 2-3 hours of time? You do realize that means they have to make 40k+ gold per hour to realize any sort of "profit" from that time saved right? And if they are good and their rotation is optimal they won't actually be "behind" in damage in comparison to someone who is still in that sort of gear anyway. Its marginally better if you don't get any epic upgrades or blue upgrades from quests.

Might as well just invest in BOE epics that some people are selling at that point.
