it's possible that the sub just didn't go through yet, so I was on a starter account that could not trade but was able to go into the town

so you did have a subscription, that was what I was saying. If you have a subscription your account isn't a "starter account" that is a term specifically for the free trial accounts.

However on classic you cannot trade on new accounts as a way of combating RMT. You can still level and play as much as you want the only barrier is for trade so people can't sell wow gold on burner accounts. Its a full 30 days before this is lifted.

I mean.... I 100% did not have to wait 30 days to be able to trade so that is 100% not true lol

it was like a few days max for the sub I guess to change my 'starter' account to a real one

So it was not a new account, not a starter account, and you had an active sub.

You had ssf mode turned on and gave false information in your first post lmao

no I didn't have SSF mode

didn't need to wait 30 days, so you are just factually wrong

the account was a 'starter' account but with a sub, so it took a few days to let me trade on it
not 30 days

a battlenet account that never had wow on it btw

it does make sense that they don't let people go onto classic wow without a sub whatsoever, even if it was paid for but not yet fully active

So everything you posted was literally a lie, got it.

You said starter account (false) you said no sub (false) you said it was a starter account with a sub (this is not a thing) you said there is no window where they block trading in classic for new accounts (don't believe me there are blue posts confirming this along with everything else I have said).

Enjoy your classic experience man, not sure why you made this thread if you were going to lie to people trying to help you lmao.

The second you subscribe you stop being a "starter account" which is just blizzards wording for free trial. https://us.support.blizzard.com/en/article/000003226

reasons you cannot trade: https://us.support.blizzard.com/en/article/000358296

I'm sure you know more than anyone else here and blizzard about the restrictions on your account though.. seeing as you didn't remember you paid for a subscription??? Lay off the drugs homie.

If you are new to World of Warcraft, you will not be able to give gold or give items to other players for the first month of paid play. You can confirm the date of your first game time order in your Transaction History. Game time from WoW Tokens does not count to lift this restriction.

While you cannot give gold or items, the following actions are possible:

You can receive gold and items from friends or guild mates (for free)
You can sell items on the Auction House

If you would like to buy something from another player, you will not be able to pay with gold nor give them a different item in exchange.

but ofc I'm making all of this up, I even went back in time and hacked blizzard to post all of this up on their site.
