I like many other am planning on playing WoW Classic as i never got to play it in 04'. I want to play a class that will be versatile, so i can be competitive in PvP, and also useful in PvE (raid) content.
Everything else aside, i wont be able to dedicate 8+ hours a day to the game, but probably an average of about 25-35 hours a week. which means hitting 60 by around 5-8 weeks.
i think end-game for me is having the raid content complete, and then focusing 90% of my time on PvP getting BiS gear, and just having a blast doing that.
i would not mind at all playing the main tank, prot warrior but feel its low tier in PvP overall. however i do like Arms for PvP but then that leaves me low tier for PvE? let me know opinions on warrior Prot & Arms. (Maybe level prot till end game, then switch to arms for PvP focus as mentioned) This is the class i really have my eye on most.
Aff Lock looks Great in terms of both PvP and PvE, the fact you get a class mount so you dont have to spend gold on that, alot of pro's i see for this class seems overall a good pick.
Frost Mage, i played one of these during Cata for PvE (dungeons & Raiding) and had alot of fun, i had a decent time playing BG's as well but i felt underwhelmed at times. this class looks GREAT for PvP and also fairs pretty well for a DPS slot for PvE
from Cata -> MoP i played DK as my main, i LOVE playing DK in BG's, Arena's and DPS for dungeons, never did a raid on DK, but i was full conquest geared and had a BLAST playing him in Arenas and BG's
Let me know B)
arms warrior will be tough to get a raid invite and port warrior is hard to pop on. Your best bet to raid and pvp is either the warlock or mage. Warlocks raid spec (sm/ruin) is really fun to do huge shadow bolt crits on people but is not super tanky in pvp. Respect are not cheap so you can't just be arms on the weekend and prot or fury for raid. Mage is probably the best bet to truly do both raid and pvp on a single char and enjoy it. That being said I would do warlock. They can really terrorize a bg and can be very rewarding once you know how to play.
