J. Allen Brack: This is a massive effort. This is a very, very significant effort. I would not expect it to be soon. We actually don't know when we're going to release it. I know that's a generic answer that we give for all of our Blizzard titles, but with this one, we don't actually know how long it will take.

But do you suspect we're talking about months here, or years?

Also not to mention it would not be a good move to release it same time as new expansion. Maybe a year into the expansion during s content drought.

Im expecting about a year after BfA AT THE EARLIEST... TBH, about a year after the expansion after BfA is when Id really expect it.

the most clever release date for vanilla would be like 2-3 months before BFA release, so everyone would get hyped up, play it for a few weeks then realize it's shit and go play bfa

And then you remember the fact that 1-60 on Vanilla takes longer than level just about one of every 110 combined.

I'm definitely going to play it. Probably going to roll a warrior.

And then you realize leveling is so much more fun in Vanilla than it has been for many expansions, so you don't really care it takes longer because unlike now you're having fun while leveling

Vanilla takes some planning and perhaps a group, plus you need to read the quest so you get to know the lore instead of being spoonfed like a baby as it is now
