WoW Down to 5.6 Million Subscribers
Blizzard has their Q2 2015 earnings call today, announcing that WoW is down to 5.6 million subscribers at the end of Q2 2015. This is down 1.5 million from the Q1 2015 call that listed WoW at 7.1 million subscribers.

They're trying their hardest to keep their income/subscribers, but en turn they're also ruining their game making the old players leave

Won't be long 'til this game is ftp and low player base

I swear so many people are just too stupid...also dont forget all the inflated subs during the $5 box set for raf's etc...

WoD had what, 10million subs at one point? Let's assume it sold at least 10million copies (probably more, too lazy to look).

Here's some simple math with all the zeros.

10,000,000 x $50 (assuming no one bought the collector's edition @ $89.99 or something - not the case...) = $500,000,000
+
wod average subs is around let's say 4 million (low ball) and the average cost of a month is $14 (i think it's as low as $11.99 or something, up to $20 if you pay with gold)
4,000,000 x 10 x $14 = $560,000,000

WoD lowball earnings not including any micro transactions: $1,060,000,000 or for you obvious fucking morons, over 1 billion dollars in 1 year.

The game isn't dying, they are making money hand over fist with barely any effort.

A billion dollar game isn't dying....player base drop =/= game dying.

Not to mention even if they only make money off of the initial launch of each expac, the game itself and the 1 month you have to pay for, is already more money than most games make in a lifetime. Some idiot posts that wow is dying every year lol and it's always "down from 10 mill subs"...it's called a cycle, not dying.

Go back to private server where you can afford to play.
